DIANA HAMILTON IS LIMITED AS ‘ARTISTE OF THE YEAR’ DUE TO HER RELIGION – ENOCK AGYEPONG

DIANA HAMILTON IS LIMITED AS ‘ARTISTE OF THE YEAR’ DUE TO HER RELIGION – ENOCK AGYEPONG
Artiste manager and entertainment pundit Enock Agyepong has revealed that the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, artiste of the year Diana Antwi Hamilton is limited when she has to represent the industry.

Speaking on CTV entertainment flagship ‘THE SHOWBIZ’ with the Entertainment General Kojo Preko Dankwa, Enock Agyepong said KiDi worked very hard last year more than Diana Hamilton under the year of review.

The artiste manager mentioned that with statistics KiDi had performed creditably than Diana Hamilton but the system is unfair and voting for the artiste of the year is a disservice because the artiste of the year is going to sell the industry.

He stated that Diana can not be able to perform everywhere to push the country due to her religious beliefs.

EnocK Agyepong said the voting for artiste of the year category should be taken off and deal with it technically, the board and competent persons in the industry can vote to select artiste of the year than the voting system.

He said there is no doubt we all love Diana but we are looking at the industry as a whole and it will be in our best interest.

Kwesi Ernest who is a music producer on the show disagreed with what Enock Agyepong was saying and said Diana can perform everywhere when she is called.

”Big thumps up to the table of men for the work done and I respect them, this is what the secular guys should learn to support each artiste and there should be unity,” he added.

Artiste of the year category should push brands that can sell across board to be nominated in that category and not limited brands, if not we are joking.
