The birth of a new dawn As Ghana marks its 64th Independence Day

Glenn Sam and the new school celebrates Ghana’s 64th Independence Day

The birth of a new dawn. The rise of the conquest kings and queens that shaped our morals.

An era that distinctively made us an epitome of greatness.

A yardstick to measure what it means to be a fighter.

The reward in pure delight. The reward in the full glare of the clothe-less eyes of our neighbors.

We were conceived as rulers before we were born. We were named with tasteful accolades well befitting people of rich royal decent.

Every celebration is worth it. Every celebrated moment, brings us much more together.
For we know the fight that we fought. We appreciate the sweat and blood.

Yet most importantly, we appreciate the moments we laughed, fell, cried, put a smile back on and pushed through the hurdles. Our roots taught us to be the head, take on the heat and let it prepare us for what lies ahead.

We are together, we were gold coasters, then Ghanaians. Nonetheless, we have always been kings, queens, royals, and we couldn’t be any prouder.

Happy 64th Independence Day to the motherland.
